Apologies for cross posting.

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce an additional policy seminar which will take place as part of the IfL CPD for the Future event at the Teaching Development Centre, Newcastle College.

The seminar will provide managers with the opportunity to consider the implications of recent policy and funding changes and to meet Paul Cook, the LSIS regional development manager for the NE. Please see details below.

LSIS policy seminar: Update on changing policies and priorities

The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) has been running a series of seminars, round tables and conferences since the General Election to help education and skills providers respond to emerging policy and funding changes. This seminar will allow delegates the opportunity to consider the strategic implications of the current economic and policy climate, learn from the experience of the LSIS NE regional development manager and examples of how providers in the region are working collaboratively to meet the new challenges and opportunities presented.

If you would like to see the 2011 policy review ‘The New World We are in’ produced by LSIS, go to
